ADAPTER KIT T5 TRANSMISSION TO FLATHEAD ENGINE

Requires non-world class T-5 with a 14-spline input shaft and a 10” flywheel (with 3-1/8” center to center spacing between the holes in each set of two holes, and 7-7/8” center to center spacing between the two hole sets)

Depending on the year and model, Flathead-powered vehicles came with 9”, 10” or 11” clutches. This kit contains a 10” clutch set up, so please ensure that your flywheel is suitable for a 10” clutch. Also, pre-’49 Flatheads had bell housings cast into the block. 1949 and later Flatheads did not have a cast-in bell housing, so you will need to obtain either a cast iron ’48 to ’52 Ford pickup truck bell housing or a stamped steel ’49-’50 Mercury V8 bell housing. Ford 6 cylinder bell housings will not work. When using ’48 to ’52 pickup bell housings, the starter mount plate must match the bell housing.
