If nostalgia drag racing and traditional hot rods are your thing, then you gotta check out the NHRA Hot Rod Reunion. They have two events each year–one in California, and one in Kentucky. We’re just a few hours away from the event at Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky, so we enjoy making the trip as spectators each year. The event is packed with vintage speed equipment, but we also see our share of traditionally styled engines, built with new parts. We spotted some cool cars and cool engines at the Hot Rod Reunion, and wanted to pass them along to you, in case you’re looking for some ideas for your project! Don’t worry, we didn’t just pick generic small block Chevy engines…we gave you a nice variety. Enjoy!
We love it when hot rodders come to Chattanooga because they get to see our hometown and find out why we love it so much! Whether it’s the Chattanooga Cruise In, or the Hot Rod Power Tour, it’s awesome to see thousands of hot rods invading the city. For 2018, the Hot Rod Power Tour made its third stop in Chattanooga, Tennessee, bringing thousands of hot rods, muscle cars, and modern high performance cars into town. The traveling car show features seven days of driving, so it’s pretty tough on old cars, but we are always glad to help when we can. We enjoyed the awesome display of horsepower at the Chattanooga State Community College on Sunday, as well as the visitors we got on Monday morning. We had folks from all over the country visit us, including a few who left a lasting mark on Chestnut Street in front of the shop. Unfortunately, we didn’t get pictures of the burnouts, but we’ll remember them for years to come. Take a look at some of our favorite machines from the 2018 Hot Rod Power Tour Chattanooga invasion and be sure to put this event on your bucket list. After you do that, give us a call, and we’ll help ensure your car survives the heat, traffic and abuse that the Hot Rod Power Tour dishes out each and every year.
