An Honest Customer and His Trio of Deuces

Chad Adams runs a small hot rod shop in north Georgia that specializes in building and selling ’32 Fords. He always has a few projects in the works, and he always comes to us for parts. He’s a regular customer of Honest Charley, and we were able to grab a few shots of three of his latest creations back in the summer. Check ’em out!

All three cars are Deuce roadsters, but the first is a car that now belongs to Peter Satherley of Bunbury, Western Australia. He picked the car up at the Street Rod Nationals in Louisville, Kentucky. A small block Chevy rides between the rails, and Peter’s roadster rolls on a set of Hot Rod Steel wheels and BFGoodrich Silvertown Radials from Coker Tire. Red accents, such as the wheels, grille insert and pinstriping offer a great contrast against the slick black paint.

Second on the list is hard to miss with its bright red paint and Firestone wide whites. Chad nailed the color combination on this one, with the tan wheels and matching interior, but kept things simple for the most part. He once again used a small block Chevy for power, as it proves to be the most affordable and reliable engine out there. As far as we know, this one is still on the market!

Last up to bat is an all black Deuce highboy roadster. Black body, black wheels and blackwall Firestones make for a sinister look, while the standard small block Chevy and automatic transmission make for a reliable combination. Most of Chad’s builds utilize a fiberglass body, and this one is no different. He likes to give his hot rods traditional styling, so he almost always opts for a dropped and drilled axle, but updates the front end with disc brakes.

Chad is a regular customer here at Honest Charley, so pretty much anything you see on any of these three cars is available right here at our historic location in Chattanooga, Tennessee!
